Well, another week has passed, and M is nearing 13 weeks of age. As she enters her fourth month, it's a good time to reflect on how time flies. A is planning to start her postdoc on October 1st, and I'll be doing a little teaching at Drexel that starts the week of the 24th. Hard to believe we've been in Philly for almost 2 months now!

We went to a barbecue tonight, and brought the baby along--she napped well at the party, but we had to make a graceful exit at around 8:30, before it became "not-so-graceful." Such is the life of a new parent, I suppose. We didn't really mind--we got to spend a little more time with our baby girl, which is always a ton of fun. She's started smiling and laughing a lot, especially when we make faces and talk to her. She's also started reaching for toys, though her "grabbers" are a little hard to get the hang of at this point. When she is successful at grabbing something, it generally goes right in her mouth, which is a big motivation to keep things clean around here!

Here's a postbathtime picture.... M as Obi-Wan-Kenobi:

[Whoops! Let's try this again...]

Heya folks! Glad to hear ya'll made it alive and well to the big city. M is certainly a cutie and what a head of hair! Very impressive! =-)

Hope things are improving with G's work document situation. I'm convinced that it's directly related to his history as a hoodlum in his native country. Renounce the violence! Embrace the US!

U S A!

Take care of yourselves - more harassing comments to come!

P.S. A: I'll be making my big purchase in October... finally!
